Dr. Malik

Dr. Malik has been working as a veterinarian in Illinois since 2015. Growing up in a small town he saw many strays suffering from untreated ailments. As a young boy he began taking these animals home, then caring for them, and that's where his desire to become a veterinarian took root. He found passion in wanting to help each and every animal he could. He didn't want to see any animals go untreated and suffer. Dr. Malik is a devoted husband and father to his 2 children. He also includes his 2 rescue cats Garfield and Nermal as part of his family. He recently joined the Animal Clinic of Poplar Grove and looks forward to meeting everyone as our clinic family grows. Dr. Malik's dream is to someday start a foundation to help animals and their families in need. Providing care, vaccinations, spay and neuter services for those that can not afford them. His favorite part about being a veterinarian is seeing animals get better. He says "You can always tell when they are feeling better because they have an unmistakable look in their eyes." he goes on, "When I can save a life, these are the best moments in my life."
